Maalyada Anand (Amukta Maalyada) is an accomplished artist in the field of Kuchipudi dance. With the constant encouragement and blessings from her parents Smt Sridevi and Sri K.L.N. Ranga Rao , she has been learning Kuchipudi dance at the feet of her guru”Kala Ratna” Smt A. B. Bala Kondala Rao. She has given her arangetram in 2002 and since then has performed at different centers in India and abroad and all her performances have been well received by the connoisseurs of art.
Maalyada
Anand is an Engineering Graduate in computer science from J.N.T.U and is a Post
Graduate in dance with specialization in Kuchipudi from Andhra University. She
is married to Sri A. Anand Sri Hari, a professional Mridangam artist.
She
has performed in all her Guru’s ballets donning roles like Rama, Sita,
Ramanujulu, Vishnu, Andal, Durga etc. She has also given many lecture
demonstrations along with her Guru all over India and abroad.
She
has acted in one of the lead roles in “Kalatapasvi” Padmasri Dr. K. Vishwanath’s
movie “Swarbhishekam”.
She
has toured all the major states of the United States of America along with her
troupe for giving Dance performances.
One
of her outstanding achievements is that she has been selected as a Cultural
ambassador from India by the “Rotary International” in 2011 and toured the
United States of America with her dance performances.
Along
with practising dance and performing, Maalyada is also nurturing young children
by teaching them the nuances of Kuchipudi dance since 8 years at “Kuchipudi
Kalaa Kendram”, Visakhapatnam.
